Rakesh Pratap Singh, born on 30 June 1976 in Mau, Gauriganj, Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh,  He currently serves as the Member of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Gauriganj constituency, a position he has held with distinction across multiple terms. Son of Tej Pratap Singh, Rakesh Pratap Singh hails from a family with a strong background in agriculture and rural values. He completed his high school education in 1991 from SPIC Raniganj Kaithaula, located in the Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. His upbringing in a rural environment deeply shaped his understanding of the issues faced by farmers, laborers, and small entrepreneurs, forming the foundation of his political ideology.

In his personal life, Singh is married to Shilam Singh, and together they have a son and a daughter. Early Political Career

Shri [Name] began his political journey with the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), where he served in various leadership roles including Inter College President, Block President – Sultanpur, and Zila Mahamantri (District General Secretary). His dedication and strong organizational skills soon earned him recognition at the district level. From 1992 to 1997, he successfully served as the District President of Sultanpur (NSUI).

Association with Samajwadi Party

On 20th February 2003, he joined the Samajwadi Party, marking a new chapter in his political career. He was appointed as the President of Yuvjan Sabha (2003–2012) for Sultanpur and Amethi, where he worked extensively to strengthen youth participation in politics.
